The 61st edition of the Carnival of Genealogy revolves around tradition.
This post will be short. I am still in my research mode, but I've missed the last few carnivals so I wanted to put together a quick post for this one.
My family didn't necessarily have any solid holiday traditions. And the "traditions" we did have evolved over the years with the passing of family members.
But the one thing we didn't do, was shop on Black Friday. Instead, mom always put up the Christmas tree. Every year like clockwork, the tree went up the day after Thanksgiving and came down on New Year's Day. It was an all day event to put it up and take it down. A huge tree, tons of lights, and more ornaments than you can imagine.

Julie, This is a BEAUTIFUL Christmas tree. You must have been in AWE when you were a child.
