This is the MLS listing for the house my dad grew up in. With all the “reconstruction” going on in Elmhurst, I wonder if it’s still standing, or if it’s been torn down with a McMansion built in its place.
A genealogy and family history blog with tips and tricks for other researchers, as well as some of my personal research stories.

Isn't it great to find or acquire a document and photo like that! Maybe the house is still there, with a little restoration and upkeep through the years.
Using the 1900 census I found my husband's family living in New York State. I thought I would see what popped up when I did a search of the address. You know to see what buildings etc. were in the area. Imagine my delight when the house listing came up as it was for sale. There wasn't a photo but I emailed the Realtor and he actually went and took one and sent it to me. You never know what will come up
What a neat record to have. I hope you find the house still there.
