Flip-Pal™ Mobile Scanner – Demo of Stitching Software

With the holidays drawing near, the Flip-Pal™ mobile scanner has been the topic of discussion as people are scanning photos to create homemade holiday gifts.  Last year, I was fortunate enough to receive the Flip-Pal™ mobile scanner for free in exchange for participating in the Simple Gifts Blog Hop.  I ended up doing two projects:

In addition, I also experimented with the stitching software, which allows you to piece together several scans of a larger image.  So, say for example you have a family portrait that measures 16" x 20" and you want to have a digital copy.  Most personal flatbed scanners are not able to scan something that big.  And personal wand scanners are also too small.  So how can you get a digital image of that family portrait?  You could take a photograph of it, but the quality may not be all that great.  For the best outcome, use the Flip-Pal™ mobile scanner.  Take the scanner and collect several overlapping scans of the entire portrait.  Then you use the stitching software to put the image together and viola, that 16" x 20" family portrait is now in a digital format.
