Although the holiday season is over, there are plenty of special occasions throughout the year. I thought I’d share a family history related gift that I mad for my husband.
It’s a family tree that links both of our families, going back to our great-great-grandparents. Using Microsoft Visio, I designed it to fit a 20” x 16” standard frame. I had it printed at Staples, framed it, and gave it to my husband for Christmas.
I wanted to keep it simple and clean. The idea here was to illustrate the bond between Jim and I, and that because of that bond, our families became one. I wasn’t concerned with dates and places…just who our ancestors are. This same idea would make a great wedding anniversary gift.
